UNAKKA NETHOLI VARATHATHU - SUN-DRIED FISH FRY

Unakka Netholi Varathathu - Sun-Dried Fish Fry

Ingredients :

500 gms sun-dried fish
4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp + 2 1/2 tbsp oil

Method of Preparation :

Wash fish and soak in water for an hour.Drain,dry and cut into 5-cm pieces.
Mix chilli powder and salt with 1/2 tbsp oil,rub into fish and marinate for an hour.
Heat remaining oil in a frying pan and shallow fry fish till crisp.
Variation: Sun-dried prawns can be cooked in the same way.

Soak in water for 30 minutes only.
