MANGA PEERA PATTICHATHU (quick and easy dish)

Now it is the mango season. So enjoy!


Green Mango - 1 medium
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Shallots (cheriya ulli) - 6
Green chili - 4
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Crushed black pepper corns - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves
Salt to taste
Coconut oil - 1 tsp.

Method :-

Cut green mango into small pieces.
Crush shallots, ginger and green chilly.
Mix mango pieces with grated coconut, turmeric powder, crushed ingredients, oil, salt and curry leaves in manchatty (clay pot).
Cook it covered till it is done, for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle crushed pepper corns and mix well.
Manga peera is ready. Serve with white rice or even chapatti.
