Apple :2
Plain flour : 3/4 cup
Besan flour : 2-3 tsp
Curd : 3-4 tsp
Oil for frying

For the Syrup:

Sugar : 1/4 cup
water : 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder : 1 tsp
Lemon juice : 1/4 tsp

For Garnishing:
Chopped nuts


For the Batter:
In a large bowl mix together the flours,curd to make a smooth batter. The consistency should be like idli batter.Add few spoons of water only if required.
Boil the sugar and water together. Add cardamom powder and boil for about 10-15 minutes till it reaches syrup consistency and now add the lemon juice to it. Boil for another 1 minute and switch off.
Peel off the skin and core and slice the apple into 6-7 thin rings.
Heat the oil in a kadai at medium high. When it is ready, coat the apple rings with the batter and fry for about 3 minutes until golden brown. Dip in syrup and place on a wire rack until serving.
Garnish with nuts
Serve warm with ice cream.
